Classic Christmas Movies You Can’t Miss

With Christmas and New year around the corner,our spending instincts must have overpowered the saving instincts. So why not  bring in the festival season in style.

Here is our first festival spending guide: A great Christmas movie list, thanks to the Gruhini’s movie freak husband, is something you will enjoy.

So take your pick and stack up your DVD rack with these all time favorite Christmas Movies.

1. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation: An hilarious take on how Grisworlds, an American family gears up for a Christmas vacation in anticipation of a bonus and how they cope up with unexpected family guests. (Ebay.in price: Rs 899)

 

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Based on Dr Suess musical story, its about how Grinch tries to play spoilsport in Christmas celebrations. Among many other things he does to spoil,  he takes away kids Christmas gifts. It subtly sends out a message that the festival isn’t about gifts only! 3. A Charlie Brown Christmas: Yet another story about how Charlie Brown only sees people talk about gifts and celebration and how it attempts to change his society’s perspective through an event. (Ebay.in Price: Rs 1556)

4. Scrooged (1988): Based on Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” in a modernized version starring Bill Murray. (Amazon.in Price: Rs 125)

 5. A Christmas Story (1983): A heartwarming tale of a 10 year old wanting a gun for Christmas and how he runs a campaign to convince his parents.  (Amazon.com Price: $8 excluding shipping cost)

 6. Elf (2003):  Will Ferrell is hilarious as an overgrown Santa’s elf who moves out into the real world.(Amazon.com Price: $7-$9)
